Even though they were on vacation, our young volunteers had a lot to do together last week. All the leaders of the four departments (administrative, social, educational, community) were involved in planning and organizing the work. Along with our young volunteers, Adam, our Peace Corps volunteer, was involved in most of the activities. Here is the list of what was planned and accomplished by the volunteers last week:
- Helped in organizing the Children’s Holiday Club.
- Shopped at Metro, stocking up products for the Social Canteen.
- Deliveered donations of diapers.
- Assisted in the delivery of hot lunches.
- Unloaded and stored 3 tons of coal for the Community Center.
- Painted the fitness equipment at the Community Center.
- Picked up trash on the main streets of the village.
- Participated in movie and games night at the Community Center.
- Played sports at the sports court.
- Attended a dinner for volunteers at the Community Center to celebrate a successful week.
It was a lot to do in just one week, but they planned and accomplished it all!
